Ian Samuel Brahm was born on April 12, 2011 at 2:25am and weighed in at 7lbs 15oz. He measured 20 inches long. He has blue-ish eyes and a small amount of blond-ish hair. He has a pretty decent cone head and is currently looking a little yellow. He was a mixture of calm and hungry after birth and I think he looks a lot like his dad, but you can check it out for yourselves in the pictures below.
I did end up getting induced after my water had been broken for over 36 hours with no signs of labor starting on its on. Contractions started around 6:00pm, and I started pushing just before midnight - so all in all a fairly fast first labor and delivery! Ian and I are both doing well and adjusting to our new positions in life. The new Dad has been fantastic in letting me get in lots of naps when Ian is not feeding - I'm so grateful that he will have the next two weeks off to help.
As I'm quickly finding out, being a new mom is a pretty busy time, so I may not be posting too often, but I thought I'd share some of Ian's first pics and let you all know that we are both doing very well.
