10 months already!

Hi All,

I can hardly believe its time for Ian's 10 month post already!  He's getting to be such a big boy.  I had a week off at the beginning of the month, so David and I decided to take Ian for a day trip to Niagara Falls to see the falls and take a visit to the butterfly conservatory.  Unfortunately I forgot to make sure that my camera was fully charged on batteries before we went - so we were not able to take as many pictures as we wanted to.  At the butterfly conservatory we got a few, but missed out on shots of the butterflies actually landing on Ian :(  Then we managed to get the camera to turn on once more for one super fast shot with the falls, but that was it.

I spent a good deal of my week off just playing around with Ian.  On one trip to the store I found a Ball Castle - and knowing my son's love of balls - I couldn't resist buying it for him.  It has certainly been a hit!

Ian has come a long way in terms of his balance.  He can pull up on just about anything and cruise around very well.  He can actually stand quite well on his own but he doesn't know that yet.  We have to trick him into it by giving him something to hold in his hands so he thinks he is still hanging on, but as soon as he realizes our trick - he will immediately sit down.  We have actually managed to get him to take a step or two using this technique as well.

Cruising along.
For Ian's 10 month birthday we decided to take Ian out sledding.  For Ian's first winter we really haven't had much snow - so we decided to take advantage of it now that it's come.  He has not a huge fan of sledding - but did seem to enjoy parts of it - especially the bumpy parts!

Bundled up and ready for sledding!

Heading home.

More bumps please!
Unfortunately, the whole family has been a little under the weather for the past few days.  Ian seems especially hard hit.  Luckily though he doesn't seem to mind lounging around with Dad watching Baby Einstein and drinking pedialyte!

Take care,
Love Amanda, David and Ian
