Hi All,
Wow - its kind of hard to believe that in only a few short weeks I will be a mom! I'm full term now, which means that baby could come anytime. I don't feel like I will go into labor early, but you never know! We had our newborn care class earlier this week, and they brought a real live newborn in as a demo for bathing, diapering and swaddling - he was so cute and small, and a very good little guy. It made me really excited to be able to actually meet our little one. It was also kinda funny because watching him move around (turning his head, moving his arms and legs...) I started to match the movements with what I've been feeling to get a sense of what exactly our little guy is up to in my belly.
David has become a real expert on labor support and newborn care now - he really payed excellent attention in class - and he remembers more than I do about some parts. He's going to be a great resource over the next few weeks. I'm so happy that he gets a couple weeks off for paternity leave - I think it will help a lot to have him around to help.
In the meantime, I'm still doing great, patiently waiting for our little guy to decide its time to meet the world, and trying to finish up all my projects and to do lists before he arrives.
Its only a matter of days before I'll be posting pictures of our little newborn on here - so stay tuned!
