ITS A BOY!!!!
And doing very well, measuring big for his age (by only 4 days - but still an impressive feat given that half of his DNA came from me...). The anatomy sono showed that everything (brain, heart, kidneys, stomach, bladder, spine, arms, legs) looks nice and normal, and there was nothing to worry about. Heart rate was nice and strong at 157 bpm and he weighed in at an estimated 8oz. The little guy was sitting cross legged the entire exam, and we were a little worried we weren't going to be able to figure out his gender, but the sonographer shook up my belly to wake him up and he moved just enough for us to get a good peek!
The revealing photo:
I am also doing very well - super happy and no complaints at all! So far our little guy has been very good to his mom. I'm starting to feel him move around a little - just some fluttering - but I am looking forward to some nice solid kicks in the next few weeks!
Here are the rest of the ultrasound photos for you all to take a look at - if you squint really hard you can kinda make out that he's waving to you. Personally - I think he looks a little alien-like in these photos - but his Dad disagrees.
We will keep you updated with any other baby news, but we are hoping for an uneventful and completely boring and routine pregnancy.
Take care!
Love Amanda, David and Baby Boy Brahm (how's that for alliteration, eh?)

Very exciting!
